
Megan Gossfeld-Schmid
Senior Counselor, Athletics Specialist
Background
In her role as Senior Counselor, Athletics Specialist, Megan primarily supports student-athletes' mental wellness goals through individual counseling, outreach, and consultations. Her clinical approach draws from Person-Centered, Acceptance and Commitment, and Dialectical-Behavioral therapy. As a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, she integrates sport psychology to train psychological skills such as imagery, confidence, energy regulation, and goal setting. Megan is passionate about providing services that emphasize personal growth, resilience, and skill development.
Gossfeld-Schmid earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she competed in cross country and track. She competed at the NCAA Division III cross country championships and completed the Twin Cities and Chicago marathons. Megan obtained master's degrees from Minnesota State University, Mankato in Sport and Exercise Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She gained experience working in Minnesota, Alabama and Mississippi before joining 91制片厂.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys playing pickleball, running, reading, and spending time with loved ones.
